EntreCC – Unleashing Entrepreneurship Potential in Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs)

Project Number: 2024-1-BG01-KA210-VET-000256549
Programme: Erasmus+ – Small-scale Partnerships in Vocational Education and Training (KA210-VET)
Duration: September 2024 – February 2026

The EntreCC – Unleashing Entrepreneurship Potential in Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs) project was an Erasmus+ initiative designed to strengthen entrepreneurial capacity, digital readiness, and vocational training opportunities within the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs). Coordinated by AIM – Sdrushenie za Inovativno Mislenе (Bulgaria), the project brought together partners from Greece, North Macedonia, and Austria with the common goal of empowering creative professionals and enhancing innovation in vocational education and training (VET).

Cultural and Creative Industries play a crucial role in Europe’s economic and social development. However, professionals and small enterprises operating in this sector often face challenges such as fragmented markets, rapid digital transformation, and limited entrepreneurial or business management skills. The EntreCC project addressed these challenges by developing innovative training resources, fostering cross-sector collaboration, and promoting the integration of entrepreneurial learning within vocational education systems.

Project Objectives

The main objective of EntreCC was to promote innovation in vocational education and training related to the cultural and creative sectors. More specifically, the project aimed to:

  • Strengthen entrepreneurial and management skills among professionals working in CCIs.
  • Improve digital readiness and resilience by integrating digital tools and competencies into vocational learning environments.
  • Align vocational training programs with labour market needs, particularly within creative and cultural sectors.
  • Encourage international collaboration and knowledge exchange among organizations, educators, and creative professionals across Europe.
  • Support a more sustainable and resilient ecosystem for cultural and creative entrepreneurship.

Through these objectives, the project contributed to key Erasmus+ priorities, including innovation in vocational education and training, digital transformation, and adapting education systems to evolving labour market demands.

Project Activities and Implementation

Throughout its implementation, EntreCC included a range of collaborative activities designed to support research, knowledge sharing, and practical learning opportunities.

The project began with a kick-off meeting among partners, establishing the framework for cooperation, defining responsibilities, and outlining the strategic direction of the initiative. This initial stage ensured effective coordination and alignment between all participating organizations.

One of the core components of the project was an in-depth analysis of the Cultural and Creative Industries sector, which led to the development of practical training resources and tools designed to support professionals in navigating both the creative and business aspects of their work. Based on this research, the consortium produced an eHandbook and other learning materials aimed at strengthening entrepreneurial thinking and business management skills within the sector.

Another key result of the project was the development of a digital platform – the CCI Digital Interaction Hub, an online space designed to facilitate knowledge exchange, access to learning materials, and collaboration among cultural and creative professionals. The platform hosts project resources and offers a collaborative environment for networking, discussion, and continuous professional development.

To ensure the relevance and practical value of the project results, testing workshops were organized in the partner countries, allowing stakeholders, educators, and professionals from the creative sector to interact with the developed tools and provide feedback. These sessions played a crucial role in validating the project outputs and ensuring their applicability to real-world needs.

The project concluded with a Final Transnational Meeting, during which partners reviewed the outcomes, assessed the impact of the initiative, and discussed strategies for the sustainability and further dissemination of the project results.

The EntreCC consortium brought together organizations with complementary expertise in education, vocational training, entrepreneurship, and social innovation:

Impact and Results

The EntreCC project contributed to strengthening the link between creative talent and entrepreneurial thinking, helping professionals in the Cultural and Creative Industries better navigate the demands of modern markets. By integrating business skills, digital competencies, and international perspectives into vocational education, the project supported the long-term development and sustainability of the sector.
